This original song was born from my combat tour in Afghanistan and the emotions that still linger long after the war is over. It speaks to a side of war that is rarely named, the experience of moving through it as a woman.

Not every wound is visible. Not every battle is remembered the way it was lived. Some truths exist in the silence, in what was endured, in what was carried alone, and in what still lives on in the body and spirit after coming home. This song comes from that place.

It is a reflection of grief, memory, isolation, resilience, and the complicated reality of surviving war through a lens that is too often left out of the conversation. Writing it was part of reclaiming my voice and telling a truth that deserves to be heard.
