The Corruption of Fire.

They did not start the fire, for it had always existed.

At first, it was small—gentle, warming, and sacred with the spirit of creation.

But they knew how to awaken it.

Those manipulative bastards understood exactly how to prey upon something tender.

To the wanderer shivering through a cold, wet night in the woods, what could be more tempting than a flame?

So they fed it beyond reason, until that once-living spark became bloated with excess, choking for air as it drowned in misery.

Spark, fuel, air—this was the formula that built the blaze.

A holy trinity once fit for kings, heroes, and knights, capable of wonder and triumph, yet always shadowed by the soot of evil and the hungry eye of greed.

That is how the forest fire began its epidemic, consuming everything in its path like a cancer.

It spread through the corruption of what had once been pure.

And that is how fire, once glorious, lost its splendor in the eyes of man.
